Magnetic Bed Embossing System
The Patented Fastset System is produced for separate pass embossing as a magnetic machine bed, with grid locking and grid reference for extremely fast & accurate positioning of embossing dies.
It is also now being manufactured within a
Rayform cut & crease die to enable fast setup and changeover of dies, as well as giving height adjustment whilst maintaining die position for subsequent runs.
The Fastset Magnetic Bed consists of an aluminium magnetic bed with a grid system onto which the dies are placed, instantly locking them into position.
The grid reference, which appears on the dies and the bed enables the dies to be instantly placed in the correct position. Adjustment for sheet shrinkage can still be made using the screw fixings.
The dies are delivered pre attached to a 'mid-block' so that any adjustments made to position are maintained when the dies are removed from the bed ready for the next run and still in perfect register with the counterforces.
Setting the dies on the bed again takes seconds.
The precisely machined bed means minimal patching. Dies are supplied pre-positioned with a grid reference that enables perfect placement
Using the Fastset Magnetic Bed removes the need for window boards or Rayfom sheets to mount the dies to, creating cost savings with every run in addition to the huge time savings.
Other advantages include reduced cost of carrier charges by no longer needing to ship heavy die boards and Rayform sheets, as well as large storage gains as the dies are removed from the bed and stored separately.
Delivery times are faster as there is no need to produce window boards or mount dies within them.
The bed is supplied with a set of magnetic balance blocks and a strong super light safety cover to protect the bed and shield the magnetic force when not in use. This safety cover has to be attached to the bed to enable removal from the machine assuring safety at all times.
Within the Cut & Crease Die
With the success of the Fastset Magnetic System on separate pass embossing we have now developed this to work within a cut and crease die, where several emboss designs may be required within the same form.
The die itself is produced in Rayform for stabil-ity, with each panel containing an aluminium mini version of the Fastset Magnetic System.
Once again dies are produced mounted to a
'mid-block' and with a grid reference allowing perfect and instant positioning.
The dies can be adjusted with screws for fine adjustment which is then maintained on subsequent runs so the next setup takes seconds.
Dies can be easily height adjusted in the cut & crease version by simply unscrewing the dies from the mid-block and removing or adding shims. Position is maintained when making the adjustments by our use of two position lock fixings on each die.
With this 'position lock' mechanism, even when ordering new dies in the event of damage or wear, the new dies sit in the precise position of the old, to the extent that the counterforce is still a perfect fit.
This system also comes with a set of cork coated locating blocks for complete support and easy laying of the pertinax counterforces.
